New Build Tank Vessels

As part of its commitment to the Jones Act, Crowley has the most active New Build Tank Vessel program of any owner/operators. Crowley is actively seeking customers, shipyards, and partners to build new tankers and barges.

In 2002 Crowley took delivery of four new double-hulled Articulated Tug Barges. The ATBs were the result of an extremely successful new build program that partnered oil companies, shipyards, and Crowley. The end product was highly sophisticated tug barge units designed specifically for customers needs and equipped to handle the unique requirements.

Crowley stands committed to its customers and the Jones Act and is ready to consider and pursue new build programs for double-hull tank vessels and articulated tug barges.
