The Reliance / 550 Class ATB Fleet (155,000 bbls) - Design Highlights and Specifications
The Reliance / 550 Class ATBs were developed and designed specifically for the West Coast
trade and weather conditions with advanced safety features such as double hull, IGS, segregated ballast and radar gauging system.
They offer proven reliability and performance, with the best achievable technology available today. Crowley is currently operating 4 units in this class on the West Coast. Together they have safely transported over
38 million barrels of products since delivery in 2002 with no spills.
Delivery of this class of ATB to a customer is projected to be 20 to 22 months after contract signing.

- 4 cargo pumps with a 5,000 bbl/hour discharge capacity
- Sumped cargo tanks allowing for minimal cargo ROB

- One anchor windlass with 10 shots of chain and 9520# Danforth anchor stowed in recessed pocket
- Barge equipped with 4 Yokohama docking fenders for ship lightering operations.
- Barge meets OCIMF and ISCOTT requirements
