Crowley’s Dwight Menard Promoted to VP of Risk Management

(Jacksonville, Fla.; Nov. 29, 2006) – William Pennella, vice chairman and executive vice president of Crowley Maritime Corporation, announced today that Dwight Menard has been promoted to vice president of risk management effective Dec. 1.

Menard will be responsible for the company’s global insurance program; management of Beacon Insurance Company, Ltd; supporting the risk management and insurance requirements of Crowley’s four business lines; allocation of insurance cost and administration/management of the claim, insurance and contract review/approval processes. Menard’s promotion is the final step in the two-year effort to consolidate Crowley’s risk management functions in Jacksonville, which involved the transfer of individuals and hiring of new risk management professionals for positions that were previously located in Secaucus, New Jersey and Oakland, Calif.

Also as part of the consolidation, Richard Dooley, manager, insurance accounting, will join Menard’s team and continue to provide critical support to the risk management process.
