John Hourihan, Senior Vice President and General Manager,
Latin America Services
Responsible for both stateside and foreign operations associated with the movement of cargo between the US and:
- Central America
- Mexico
- Dominican Republic
- Cuba
Office located in Jacksonville, Florida.
John joined Crowley in New Jersey in 1987 to manage Crowley's Far East
Service. In 1988, he moved to The Netherlands as Vice President of Crowley's
European Service, American Transport Lines. In 1990, he moved to Jacksonville,
Florida as Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Crowley's Liner Services.
In 1994, he became Vice President & General Manager of Crowley's South
America Service. Then, in 1998, he assumed a position as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Crowley's wholly-owned subsidiary company, Crowley Logistics, Inc. In January of 2005, Hourihan assumed his current position as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Latin America Services.
Prior to Crowley, John worked 11 years with United States Lines which
included six years in the Far East in country General Manager positions in
Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China.
John graduated from the University of Kansas in 1973 and is a member of the
Council of Logistics Management.
