ATB's

Crowley offers a variety of methods to transport bulk petroleum products and chemicals. One of these methods are its new state-of-the-art U.S. flagged articulated tug barge (ATB) fleet. Crowley's ATBs are the result of years of research, testing, and partnering with customers to design and build vessels that provide one of the most safe and efficient methods of coastal petroleum and chemical transport in the industry.

Crowley's ATBs carry a crew of 3 licensed deck officers (Captain, Chief Mate, and 2nd Mate), 1 licensed engineer, 2 AB/Tankermen PIC's,and 2 utility/deckhands. Some ATB's may also carry an Assistant Engineer rating. Crews are affiliated with the MMP, IBU, and SIU unions depending upon region of operation.
