“Amazing Tugs” Read by Jacksonville’s “Mystery Reader”

So who’s the Mystery Reader? He can be seen with the boys and girls at Jacksonville Country Day School the day he surprised everyone by giving out copies of Crowley’s “Amazing Tugs” and reading the book aloud to some of the first and second grade students. “It made my day,” says the Mystery Reader, alias, Dennis Derby, vice president of business development. The children enjoyed the book so much that they were able to answer questions afterwards, proving the book kept their attention. Many of them recognized the Golden Gate Bridge and compared El Morro to the fort in St. Augustine. Two children were born in Puerto Rico, so they were excited to learn Crowley travels there regularly. Other children said they had just studied whales and recognized the Orcas. Who knows – maybe the Mystery Reader will inspire some of these young learners to become part of the Crowley family one day.
