Regulations for Shipping Vehicles (PDF)
Shipping Procedures
- Call 1-787-729-1000 to make a booking/reservation.
- Provide Registration and Ownership Title of the vehicle.
- Obtain a Certificate of “No Fines” due from Obras Publicas. (Valid 5 days)
- Certificate of Pressure Wash and Clean, including the motor and undercarriage.
- Hacienda (Puerto Rico Treasury Department) $10 voucher for each vehicle.
- A Power of Attorney authorizing the shipment is required when the owner is not present, or when the unit is a Company owned vehicle.
- Letter from the bank authorizing the shipment, if necessary.
- All vehicles have to be pre-inspected by the local Stolen Vehicle Division of the P.R. Police Department that corresponds according with the customer residence.
- Pay freight charges prior to sailing.
- In the U.S., there are 7 calendar days free to pick-up the vehicle.
Rates from San Juan, Puerto Rico
Rates apply on new or used vehicles not exceeding 900 cubic feet (cft) to Jacksonville, FL - other locations (Pennsauken, NJ and Port Everglades, FL) not exceeding 700 cubic feet (cft).

Note: If Crowley prepares SED, a fee of $75 will apply. Vehicles less than 700 cft moving to Port Everglades, FL will sail over Jacksonville, FL. An EIN is required to identify the shipper for this purpose. If one is not available, it must be requested through the IRS by calling their toll free number 1-800-829-4933 or visiting their Web site by clicking here (recommended).
