06/13/2014 08:21 am

To our valued shipping and logistics customers:

The ISO mechanical seal standard ISO 17712:2013 (Requirement for Clause 6), which relates to Evidence of Tampering has come into full effect as of May 15, 2014.

This standard is mandatory for all U.S. Customs C-TPAT Program members.

Benefits of the new High Security bolt seal standards include:

  • Indicative features which generate clear evidence of tampering;
  • Reduced possibility of cargo theft or tampering;
  • Reduced possibility of unauthorized material being inserted into sealed containers;
  • Reduced shipment delays as a result of missing or broken seals

Crowley is compliant with all new ISO 17712:2013 High Security Seal standards and has obtained necessary certification from our security seal provider.  Click Here
