Testimonial leonard   Frosty Leonard, Director, Operations
"Crowley has helped me build a career for the long haul. They recruited me prior to my graduation from the academy and since then, I've worked for them in Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Seattle and Valdez finding challenges and advancement opportunities all along the way. Currently, I have operational responsibility for Crowley equipment in the world's most sophisticated escort and response system. The door is wide open with Crowley, you just have to decide whether or not you're going to walk through it."

 MARAD/RFF Vessels
MARAD/RFF Vessels

Crowley operates many vessels for the U.S. Government in the Maritime Administration's (MARAD) Ready Reserve Fleet (RRF). The MARAD vessels that Crowley operates are pre-positioned in locations throughout the country: Baltimore, MD, Tacoma, WA, Long Beach, CA, Houston, TX, and Charelston, SC. RRF vessels are typically manned by a small maintenance crew in these locations and have to be capable of full crew activation on short notice.

We accept resumes for all licensed (USCG unlimited tonnage Mate, Engineer, and Radio Operator) and unlicensed shipboard positions. All positions require an STCW 95 certification. Employees are subject to random drug testing and a comprehensive physical. Crowley has collective bargaining agreements with the American Maritime Officers, Marine Engineers Beneficiary Association, and the Seafarers International Union for these vessels, varying with location and position.
