1.When did you start your career at Crowley? If applicable, please provide your career progression.
I joined Crowley five months ago, in June 2011.
2. What has surprised you most about working for Crowley?
The camaraderie has surprised me most about Crowley. It feels as though this is one giant family that works together to provide international services. The fact that Crowley cares about safety is another factor that surprised me, in a good way! It is not just an image of safety that Crowley is trying to uphold – it is a true value of the company.
3. Why did you choose to work for Crowley? (Tell us the path that leads you to Crowley)
I chose to work for Crowley because of the great reputation it has. Crowley is known worldwide for its variety of fast and efficient services.
4. What is the one thing you appreciate most about working here?
I appreciate the training that Crowley provides. Life is a never-ending learning process, so it is great to know that Crowley is helping us to learn as much as we can.
5. What do you do in your job?
I am an Accounting Specialist in the Harbor Services division of Crowley. I handle the invoices for harbor ship assist and escort services in southern California.
6. What’s the coolest aspect of your position?
The coolest aspect of my position is being able to work with several people with different backgrounds and positions. It helps me to gain new ideas and knowledge about the maritime industry.
7. What’s important to you outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy weightlifting and planning my upcoming wedding in July – at the same time!
